Actually, the sun.* packages are "internal" to Sun, and not guaranteed to
remain in the current form at any time. (Of course, they've been saying that
for the past three years, and I've never seen the implementation change one
iota....)
A better solution is the JavaMail API, available as a free download from
Sun. Not only does it support the sending of mail to various systems
(including SMTP), it also provides transparent support for attachments as
well as retrieving mail from IMAP or POP servers (as well as others).
Check the archives--this is probably a FAQ and somebody's already most
likely posted a URL for it; if not, it's somewhere off the
www.javasoft.com/products page.
