Good question. I hear that Mozilla woudl not ship with
Java support, but rather would only have extended
support for Java plugins [other than Sun's plugin].
Your question has prompted me to check out mozilla.org
to research the issue, however, since Sun seems to
ship a new JDK far more often than anyone ships a
Netscape/Mozilla browser, logic would dictate a
permament adoption/dependance of the plugin
architecture for the foreseeable future.
