Firstly what are all the IDEs
Visual Age for Java 3 Probaly gives pure Java
VJ++ 6 not pure java
JBuilder 3 should be good from Inprise(previously Borland).
JBuilder 2 is good.
Kawa not very sophisticated
Oracle JDeveloper copy of JBuilder2.0 very slow
VisualCafe no idea
what else. But better for beginners not to use IDE's as you will never know
whats going in.
would like to have your/others comments on my views.

Subject: Java IDEs
Hi all,
I am evualting the available IDEs for Java development which will provide
me
support for developing EJB applications, Servlets apart from providing all
the
features of a good IDE.
Simplicity ,performance, hardware requirement are also a key issues here. I
have gone thru the archives of the list but could not find relevant
information. If anybody could pls suggest any resources (or send one) which
has the complete comparison on these parameters, it would be of great help.
thx in advance,
Yogesh Agarwal
