I am using "JDBC API Tutorial and Reference, Second Edition" by White,
Fisher, Cattell, Hamilton and Hapner, published by Addison-Wesley. It seems
to cover Java 2 and the JDBC API rather well.
The problem is that your database driver might not be as advanced in its
implementation of JDBC as you might like. The book is current, however, and
will become more applicable as and if vendors more closely comply with the
JDBC interface.
