Regrading Linux Conf for better performance with servlets

Hi all,   My systems config:   Redhat Linux 6.1  IBM jdk118 for Linux Apache1.3.9.+Jserv   Following a link sent to me by Craig i have found the page: http://www.volano.com/linux.html In the bottom section is described how to optimize the Linux operating sytem for better performace.   My questions:   Has anybody done this?
