Thanks for your answer, but I don't think it will solve my problem.
The point is that this set the expiration date and the cache option on the html 
document that is sent but not on its content (i.e. the images).
If you use Netscape to view the info on the document, you will see that the expiration 
and the cache are correct there, but if you select an image contained in this 
document, you'll see something like:

Source:Currently in disk cache
Local cache file:MUETCIVP.PNG
Expires:No date given


So, I'm really looking for a way to set these properties on something contained in the 
html rather than on the html itself.
