Who is using servlets?

Hi,   Does anyone know of existing web applications that are using servlet technology?  By web application, I am primarily referring to larger applications that have a high volume of concurrent users performing data input and output.  If so, what is being used to support the servlets (i.e. Is the servlet engine JRun, ServletExec,???  Are EJB's/CORBA/RMI used on the backend?  What app server is used?).  I am asking because I have had concerns stressed to me regarding the ability of servlets to provide a scalable solution.  One of the most popular remarks is that you never hear of any larger web applications using this technology.  Is this true?   Any information would be appreciated.   Thanks, Betty Jo
