Hi all
I am scribbling using Apache/Apache JServ/JDK 1.2/JSDK 2.0 on
NT Server - and this setup works much faster and seems
to be much more robust than my brain. :-)
Try this for nothing except for the Server :-(
NT Workstation will do as well.

Subject: Q: good/easy-to-use web server for dev ?
Hi list,
Sorry if this has been asked before.
Anyway, I want to hear personal experiences
and the latest info, so here goes :
I would like to know the experiences of you guys
on the web servers that you use for development (not production).
Please let me know your views w.r.t the following parameters :
(Note: I'm only looking for free servers right now - since this is
for some internal development).
- support for which version (should be >= 2.0) of Servlet API
- stable (doesn't crash more than once in a blue moon :)
- easy to configure (for both servlets and CGI programs - part of the work
will be done in Perl/CGI)
- not too large a download
- any other parameters you consider important
Regards
