If you do this you will destroy the concurrency of the engine...
which makes the whole thing a bit pointless (unless the files are very
small).

What you've done is similar to implementing SingleThreadModel which
is the approved way to get synchronized functionality from a servlet.

But as I said before it's probably to do with how you are selecting
the output.

mean.
