Does it take a while before it happens? (ie: 20-30 seconds?)
If so I expect it is the servlet container forcing a timeout on the
http request. You can't really help that, it's really good TCP/HTTP
practice (user's don't want to be sat around forever).
Try thinking about your problem in a different way.
