I've never seen anything like that caused by a browser problem.  Are you sure
you are correctly constructing the URL you are redirecting to?

RequestDispatcher was added in the 2.1 version of the servlet API spec.  It is
not present in 2.0, so it will not exist in any servlet engine based on the
2.0 spec (such as Apache JServ).
