Apache SF developes perl and java modules for the Apache server. Looks
like this is the environment allowing you to call perl scripts from java
classes and vice versa without the overhead of launching an OS process.
If this is not of a concern you can use

system( "java Hello" );

from perl and the same from java, but in this case I'd better write all in
perl
or all in java. Which is not much of a difference to be honest.
