Yes, they are compatible -- I use them together on a Windows NT environment
for testing and limited development.

As for a "better choice", the choice of which servlet interface you use
(i.e. 2.0 vs. 2.1) is limited by the servlet runner you choose. Apache
JServ, for example, uses the 2.0 interface and not (yet) 2.1.
