I want to start a permament activity within my servlet engine. Since servlets can be "destroyed" at any time, I envisage to strat a daemon thread. Typically, this thread is to monitor arrivals of incoming data (by ftp or other). Is there any constrainsts in doing this way: may I still access instance or class data of my servlet ?
