1.I am working onjdk1.2.2 and jsdk2.1(servlet api) and I want to test
my
servlet in jsdk2.1 servlet container.

2.
  Problem:
Whenever I compile any servlet code,I am getting the following
  error messages.
ERROR1:package javax.servlet not found in import.
ERROR2:package javax.servlet.http not found in import
ERROR3:superclass HttpServlet of class xxx not found
where xxx is the name of any servlet class I am
         trying to implement.

3.
I have gone through the documentation available to me
and could identify the following.Pl let me know whether
   I am correct or not.
a)javax is a standard installed extension but not a premium extension.
b)javax is not a download extension.
   c)javax comes as a part of jsdk2.xx(servlet API) ?
d)There is no need to put the jar files into the classpath.
e)The vm automatically searches for the installed standard extensions.

4.
I could locate the javax related folders in the jsdk2.1\src\javax
directory.

5.
I did not find javax related stuff in jdk1.2.2 loaded on my PC.
6.
What I doubt is that the javax.xxx are not properly loaded onto my
PC.But,I am
not so sure of it.How to test this aspect.

7.How best can I rectify the problem
