Transient variable means it could not be serialized .that means u can not
write that variable to a persistant storage and retrieve at a later date .

Subject: what transient means?

Hi, I am starting writing EJB for a project. I noticed that in some EJB
examples, they define some variables as transient. For example: transient
private SessionContext ctx.

Could someone explain what transient means?

Thanks,

Lixin
