Javacorporate is pleased to announce release 1.03 of Expresso, an open
source web application component framework. The license is now an Apache
Style license. We had 400 downloads yesterday :)

CHANGES: This version features improved performance through caching and
asynchronous logging and event notification. It now includes examples of
usage with JSP. Custom forms can be used, custom queries and updates
executed on the database, all without re-writing any "default"
functionality. You can now extend database maintenance capabilities "by
exception", only programming where you need to, and never having to alter
existing core capability that impedes your abilities to make use of the next
update.

Expresso Framework is a (fully Java)library of extensible components for
providing services to Web-based client applications, using servlets
including components for security, access to databases, email connectivity,
job control, health check, logging, event notification, database objects,
download, configuration values, and access to other server-side components,
etc. Expresso Framework provides a toolkit so the developer can concentrate
on application logic.
