Using servlets for portability
absolutly does make sense.
I regularly write servlets on Nt,
and then deploy on one of the
many servlet engines.
One project had the same
servlet running on:
JavaWebServer on nt
Jserv+apache on Linux
JavaWebServer on solaris
ServletExec + NES on solaris
at different points in the project's
life. So it does work.
