This has more to do with any web based system . I was curious if there are any
good reasons on restricting userid( or loginname ) to certain characters( like
excluding underscores, percentage )?
Is there any disadvantage of letting the Japanese customers have userid in
japanese characters? I am storing the IDs in Oracle 8 (US-ASCII)
Apparently, Yahoo mail doesn't let Japanese users have their ID in japanese
chars.
