Yep.  It looks like he is using a DB.  I notice the db_id=3058.  It's probably the
key into the DB table that contains the Ad. poster information like his E-mail address.

I think you have figured out the mechanism.  Now what do you need to make it work
is the question.

The way I see it is this:

One DB table for the inventory, which has a key in it to another DB table that has the
ad. poster's information, which contains his E-mail address.  When a requester selects
and ad., with a servlet poster's key as a parameter sent to the servlet, the servlet
launches a DB class that gets the Ad poster's E-mail.  With this E-mail address in hand
the servlet
can then launch an E-mail class that builds the Java Mail To: and sends the E-mail.

The Ad. requester never sees the E-mail address.  Kewl.

Using the DB makes it easy to do thousands of items of inventory, whereas my idea
about the servlet parameters is functionally deficient and good only for a reasonable
amount of items.

I am interested.  I am going to code it up.  Get to me off-line for the details.
