steps for connecting to the db
1) First I would advice you to read the JAVA TUTORIAL ON SERVLETS.
2) Check sites like servletcentral,coolservlets etc.
a) Create an Odbc source at the controla panel where it says"32-bit ODBC
SOURCE"
b) Then use include the jdbc in your servlet.
c) Give the right URL,username ,password for that.
d) Create a connection using a new objec of type Connection.
e) create a resultSet and get info from the database using a while loop.
f) print everthing into a OuputStreamReader.or PrintWriter.
g) close the connection
If you don't know anything about JDBC, read the tutorial on that and then go
to servlets. I don't think its good to start from servlets right away.
