servlet parameters

Does anyone know how I might go about passing parameters to a new page = that is not a servlet or JSP, when using the sendRedirect() function?  I = want to basically pass along what would be a form field...  If there was = a setParameter() function like getParameter that would be perfect, but = there isn't one that I know of... Thanks, Jeff
