try to press the back button twice....
or provide a back button in ur html page( :) not serious )

actually i did dothis a long time back so i am unacle to find the source
but i did not find any problem regarding he back button..

is the problem like this:
if u press the back button then u again are redirected  to the servlet
??
if it is .. then let me know..
