I don't know. I followed this same example for the command line
shutdown/startup on Linux and I do not see a password either.

Subject: IPlanet 4.1 Servlet Debuging on NT

Hi,

Has anyone successfully got the debugging from servlets (ie standard out) to
appear in the IPlanet log files.
I have followed the instructions given in the Programmers Guide to Servlets
in Enterprise Server 4.0, but the instructions don't match up to
what happens if you follow them.

Quote " Start the server manually and record the password for remote
debugging (this will be displayed on the console)"

I'm assuming you start the server manually via the control panel/services
icon.(Is this my problem?)
If I do this no password is displayed. And subsequently I cannot run the
line :-
jdb -host <host_name> -password <the_password>

Thanks in advance.

Damien
