i am new to the Servlets
i have started the servlet engine with the .cfg file configured as
 

server.port=8080
server.hostname=Silicon.hostel5.giki.edu.pk
server.inet=
server.docbase=webpages
server.tempdir=tmp
 
but i cannot open my home page or any servlet example
 
do i need any web server installed
 
i am wusing win98
