Hi everybody,
  Thank you for the responses.
I have realised that when I display to the user the info that has been
entered ,to make sure that it is correct before inserting it into the
database using a doGet method, the browser is unable to display long messages
and therefore the error. It works fine otherwise.

Can anybody please suggest some other way to display the info ?

Thanks in advance.
Vaijayanthi.
