Applet-Servlet Communication

Hi Friends,
           Can anybody tell me how to access Session object set by a Servlet
from an Applet so that the applet can access values put by the servlet and
update it self.
My second Question is how to invoke a Servlet from an Applet.

Anybody please help me it is urgent.
