Please install:
- J2EE from Sun (works on most systems, I use it on Win2K, 366 MHz/128MB, I
could not get J2EE to deploy EJBs on a faster, 500MHZ system, it always throws
an exception during deployment!)
- I also use Apache 1.3.12 and Tomact 3.1. with J2EE. I run my servelts in
Tomcat which call methods on J2EE EJBs.

PLEASE read the documentation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Making all
this stuff work together all the time is a complicated business you must be
able to appreciate what is going on! Simple code fragments from I or other
people will not really help you in the long run!

Try to deploy some of the sample code and look at the client sources. Deploy
1st the very simple 'convert' application and look at its client code, which is
NOT a servlet. You will be able to use the same 'call fragment' in your later
Servlets and JSPs. You have to get a reference to your EJB 1st and then you
will be able to call its methods!
It works OK for me with session EJBs, I will also try Entity EJBs (ASAP).
Good luck - George (J2EE has problems with larger EJBs, visit the SUN Forums
for details!)
