I ever met the same problem. One way is making a URLConnection to that
servlet by http://host_name:port_number/servlet/servlet_name and you can
send your request to that servlet. The servlet locating on the remote
machine
can get all the parameters needed from the request and process whatever you
want, then send back the response. The servlet that sending the request can
read from the URLConnection for the response.
The problem i met is: sometime it will cause some IO problems.
Alternatively, you can use four servlets to accomplish this task: each host
has
two servlets, one for writing to remote servlet, one for reading from remote
servlet. I haven't tried it yet.
