No. That isn't the problem.

The init parameter is initialized and should be okay.

Firstly... plkease don't post multiple copies of your question to the
forum - that *really* is annoying.

The code you submitted should work okay.

Is that the actual code or is it something else?

It's possible that you've made a dumb (but easy to do) error like
redeclaring:
   String s

inside your doPost().

Obviously the method is failing because the variable "s" is null.

Have you tried printing the value to System.out from the init method
and before you do the string append with it?


Failing that you'll have to send your real code in. But edit it short
please.
