Combining server-side include and jsp?

As I know, if I want to include "<servlet>" tag in my page, i have to use .shtml. If i want to use jsp, i have to use .jsp. Can I use "<servlet>" tag in jsp page?   sorry, i am not sure the problem is suitable or not coz i am new to jsp and server-side include.   thanks   liwen
