hi, I have the following problem. I want to inform an adminstrator for a servlet started bean application about not running or hanging of his application. For that reason i think to start a background process in the init-function of one of the utilize servlets (there work several servlet together) This background thread asks the servletConfig for an reference of the watching app, if it is null app is not running. But how should i ask for hanging of this? Call the app from a thread and take the time and interrupt asking when it takes to long indicating app is hanging?
