Subject: Implements a search engine by using Servlet and JDBC
Hi All,
I am building a search engine for our company project. Here are the
problems:
We have database keep thousand of records of users. We would like to search
based on name, address, telephone number, SIN.. In my project, I build a
servlet and simple JDBC object to do a query and return results back to user
screen. Supposingly, we do a search and get hundreds records back and want
to display 10 per time, should we keep all of them in the HttpSession or
some Hidden Input Text Field so that we don't have to hit back to database
again?
Does any one implement an internal search engine like this in the web
application?
Thanks in advance,
Justin Pham.
