Hi EveryBody

I am having 2 servlets. In one servlets, I am calling stored procedure which
is generating some reports and it may take long time therefore creating
child thread to run this process. In the procedure we will be updating the
database with a status "RUNNING" as well as the running thread name.

In the other servlet I am checking the status of currently running reports,
If any report is running then i am showing it on the console. Now if any
user wants to kill the currently running reports from console then I can get
the thread name from the database. But wants to know by using this way can I
kill the thread running in the Ist servlet.

If not, then is there any other way to kill a running thread of Ist Servlet
from the second servlet????
To make it more understandable, its like a WIN NT task manager

Any idea will be highly appreciated.

Thanks and Have a nice day.

..Sanjay
