Hi Parag,
Actually rmi packages are supposed to be there with the JVM for IE. Do you
know that there is an interesting story to your problem. Actually all the
browsers are suppose to fullfill all the specifications laid down by sun for
implementing Java Virtual Machine. Microsoft had claimed that IE meets those
specifications, but in reality they have played a trick. Actually IE does
not support rmi directly. This is so because IE has been designed purposely
to discourage the use of RMI and promote it's own COM-DCOM model. Well this
was one of the matters that landed Microsoft into Court in a lawsuit filed
by Sun and rest is history.
O.K, enough of this story, I don't intend to waste your time. The solution
to your problem is that there are some patches available at sun's official
site which you can download and install so that IE will support RMI. I don't
know what those patches are but you can search for them at java.sun.com.

It's never too late to begin
