I'm affraid so.
You can't use POST because there is no way of getting the IMG tag to
do a POST.
You could possibly use framesets but it's unlikely. One possibility
is the IFRAME tag but this will only work in the latest browsers
(Mozilla and IE5).
But you're problem stems from the fact that your architecture is
wrong.
It would be much cleaner if your image servlet accessed the data
directly... it would also be faster.
