Hello group, may be this is off-topic, but any help would be appreciated. I was
looking to develop a screen (like a ticker for stocks) which would flash on
certain events. I have a working version in Motif which does this very
efficiently within the X-server. However, the Java version is very slow. And if
I spawn threads to take care of these things, it eats a lot of CPU cycles. Is
there a way around this - to have different portions of the screens flash in
different colors, concurrently.
