Hi Spike,
At Thomson Financials we have bought two JRun Pro 2.3.3 editions, and our
client GALE Group has bought one JRun pro edition of JRun 2.3.3.
I attended the JRun Webinar and it was mentioned during an answer that
amnesty upgrade to JRun 3.0 for free is available to customers who bought
JRun 2.3.3. I tried to find out how to download the amnesty upgrade from
your web-site but I could not get any information. How can I get the
upgrade? Will it be possible for Allaire to provide a link for Amnesty
upgrade on the JRun 3.0 page. Also all the links for JRun 2.3.3 have been
removed.
I will appreciate very much if you can help me on this or can direct me to
concerned person at Allaire.
Thanks
Vivek

JRun 3.0 includes many new and improved features:
- New Web-based administrator
- JDBC data sources and connection pooling
- Support for deploying packaged J2EE components: J2EE .ear, Servlet .war,
and EJB .jar files
- Improved performance and scalability
- Web server wizard allows JRun to easily connect to your IIS, Netscape,
and Apache Web servers
- Clusterable HTTP sessions (for use in load-balanced websites)
- JRun Tag Library provides tags for flow control, form validation, and
accessing J2EE technologies.
Developer-friendly Features:
- JRun can be configured to run inside of any Java debugger.
- Open WAR-based directory structures allow for easy development of web
apps with Servlet 2.2-based tools (such as JRun Studio)
- Automatic Servlet and JSP reloading
- Web-based administration allows servers to be restarted remotely and
updates web.xml file directly.
- Small footprint (about 10 Megs) allows J2EE development on machines with
limited resources.
- Built-in method timing profiler for locating bottlenecks in your web
applications
- Built-in web Server so it isn't necessary to install a third-party Web
server
- Built-in HTTP sniffer allows examination of low-level HTTP messages

authentication and session management
- Extensive documentation including the JRun Web Developer's Guide
The JRun Developer Edition is *free* for all developers to use to build
their applications.
