Get Tomcat3.2B1 from apache.org. and run it in standalone mode. It is stable,
free and also the Servlet API2.2 and JSP1.1 reference implementation.
Documentation is inside the tar or zip bundle. You can use java's jar utility
to unzip it. Place your own servlets into a jar and onto your classpath.
Current tomcat does not support Servlet reloading yet, it will come later. You
must rebuild your jar after changing any of your servlets. I do this with a bat
or shell script. You should also get and learn to use ANT, the Java replacement
for make . It is great! Do not use Jserv1.1. It does not support JSP's and only
Servlet API2.0 otherwise it is also an excellent 'free' product!

at http://jakarta.apache.org/ Just get the binary distribution.

Good luck - George
