Good morning all....I am new to Java servlets and I am having problems getting the
Hello World servlet to work.
I get the message from the browser that the server cannot be found. I am using Java
SDK 1.2.2 and JSDK 2.1, so I'm using
startserver, which seems to work fine, but when I use stopserver I get this exception:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/web/shell/Shutdown
I currently have my classpath set to the directory with my main Java classes, the
directory where startserver and stopserver
are located, and the directory with the servlet class files (in that order) ...any
suggestions? I messed around with this all day
Friday and I have no idea what to do next. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
