You do not need a separate web server with JRun if you want to use just
servlets. But it does not offer you all the features supported by popular
web servers like Apache/NEW/IIS. I am using JRun2.3.3 with NES3.6.2 and it
works great. You can have a look at "http://www.gale.com" and select
catalogs.
One more suggestion. Why don't you register your JRun2.3.x with Allaire
"http://www.allaire.com/" and get free upgrade to JRun3.0 which is much
better than JRun2.3.x.
