greetings,

this is the first time i attempted to use the java plugin with tomcat
and sure enough it does not work for me. i've grabbed the Clock2 applet
from the sun's site which works fine when started from the static html
page but does not start from the jsp page:

<center>
<jsp:plugin type="applet"
            code="Clock2.class"
     codebase="http://gavia.us.oracle.com:8080/"
     width="170" height="150">
    <jsp:params>
        <jsp:param name="bgcolor" value="000000" />
        <jsp:param name="fgcolor1" value="ff0000" />
        <jsp:param name="fgcolor2" value="ff00ff" />
    </jsp:params>
</jsp:plugin>
</center>

looking at the generated source i notice that the jsp references the
plugin version 1.2.2 as opposed to 1.3 whichi have instaled. can this
possibly be the reason? can someone explain why this happens? and how
to fix it, if possible... tia,
