Srikanth:
You could do this using just plain html forms submitting to an appropriate
servlet:
Display the data in textboxes. Give these text boxes unique names.
Place a check box (again with unique names) for each row to indicate if the row
needs to be deleted.
The user then can update data by changing the values in the text boxes and can
delete a row by checking that box and then hitting a submit button placed at the
bottom the page.
You may also want to give the user the ability to update data a row at a time by
placing an "update" submit button at say the last column of each row, again
making sure the names of the submit buttons relate uniquely to the row of data
(so if the user hits a submit button your servlet will know which row has to be
updated.)
I believe this is what Kwon Ekstrom may have had in mind when he said:
