no, i have it running under the default web site in IIS (port 80)
when i start the webserver in JSWDK-1.0.1, it cannot create the
endpoint...it says that the ip address (localhost) and port are in use.
I try and invoke the servlet both with and without starting the webserver
(in JSWDK)...i get a 405 cannot access method error in IIS

it is possible that some other application is using port 8080. just check
that out.
