Hi all,
Sorry for buthering the list
with this off-topic question.
We are renting some servers in US to host our
websites.
We have asked them to give us 2 IP addresses
for 1 computer.
(we wanted to have two apache servers on the same
comp).
They said that the American laws doesnt' permit to
have more than
one IP address for a computer unless we have a good
reason.
I said that the reason is to have half our sites in
on IP with one
apache webserver and the another half with a
different IP serverd by
a second apache.
They refused to give us 2
IP-s.
Can somebody confim that this is realy true
according to the
american laws??
I am VERY DISAPONITED becuase a lot of my ideas was
based on
2 IP-s.
Also does anybody of you have computers (in
US) with more than one
IP??
Thank You for reading my mail.
Andras.
P.S. when i said IP i ment real IP numbers not
intranet IPs like
192.168.0.1.
