There are libraries like iText ( Developed by Bruno Lowagie) which you can use.
And pretty good too.

And there is another one is retep

Hi, I'm new on Servlet Prog.
Can servlet do write/read directly to file on server ?
I need to develop a part of web app. which can write pdf files to server
(the rest of my apps. are using EJB and JSP)
does someone have experience on it ?
