Hi Vivek,

I once used the ConnectionPool + PooledConnection classes, adapted from the
James Goodwill book (Developing Java Servlets).

I set up the pool in the init method of the servlet.
I then passed the pool to various methods in classes that needed to make
connections.

worked well.

Its not needed if you are comfortable with the pooling already done with
DataSource.
Look in the JDBC API for details.
