hi jayant,
u can use a servlet to load an image
if u dont want any server running.
While loading the image use the fileoutputstream with mime header set to
image/gif or image/jpeg
i think this will work.

bye

Subject: Generating images using servlets

Hi All,

Is there a way to generate images on the server side without having a
windows server running.

My hosting company, www.webpipe.net is even refusing to run "xvfb" in the
background.

Thanks a lot,
Jayant.
