Hi guys,
The replies given to the original question are not correct. The question
asks about the jsp:include action tag. All responses to that question have
suggested using the include directive. The directive works differently from
the include action tag. The include directive causes the content of the
included file to be placed inline. The <jsp:include> is an action tag that
causes a call to be made to the included page at runtime.
Regarding the syntax: I experienced no problems using the <jsp:include>
syntax given in the professional JSP book. I tried it in Java Web server &
weblogic.
However I got an error using the <param> tag. The syntax of <param> as given
in professional JSP book doesn't work.
Anyone out there with workable code for param tag, please post it.
Thanks,
Michael.
