Arun,
Unfortunately, general java questions are not
appropriate for the servlet-interest list.
You should have received an email when you
signed up that described what kind of questions
were appropriate for the list.
There are many sources of information about
general java programming, but only one place to
go for general questions on servlets. Please help
keep servlet-interest a place where people can
ask questions about servlets.
In this particular instance, the standard java api
documentation for java.io and java.util.zip provide all
the information you need. If the standard api docs turn
out not to be enough, there are many tutorials linked
off the <http://java.sun.com> site. If that's still not
enough, you should do a web search using something like
<URL:http://www.google.com>, and you will find an
avalanche of general java information.
Thanks for your help,
-cks
